Cadence offers Reality Data Center Insight, formerly known as Future Facilities 6SigmaDCX, a data centre operational management solution based on digital twin technology. These are 3D virtual replicas that represent reality in a comprehensive way and use digital simulation techniques to perform engineering. The aim is to improve the performance of the rooms and reduce their environmental footprint, while guaranteeing their reliability and resilience from a thermal and electrical point of view. This innovative approach enables data centre professionals to anticipate future room developments and evaluate operational decisions in a secure virtual environment.

The Reality DC Insight solution incorporates many of the functionalities of DCIM (Data Centre Infrastructure Management) tools. But it does more, thanks to the power of digital simulation and its ability to anticipate. Simulations based on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) enable engineers to improve IT room cooling and reduce operational costs. For high-power applications such as AI and HPC, liquid cooling can be modelled (Direct Liquid Cooling, Immersion). IT and facilities management teams can collaborate on the optimal use of resources, fill rooms to maximum capacity and guarantee data centre performance via a web portal.

Reality DC Asset Twin

Cadence Reality DC Asset Twin is a data centre management solution for capacity planning and resource management to maximise operational performance (excluding cooling). An Asset Twin is a Digital Twin without a CFD solver.

Benefits: Cadence Reality DC Asset Twin is an asset management tool that acts as a searchable archive of all IT assets, enabling the management of power, space, weight and network port capacity. Through a web interface, it also provides tools to manage equipment moves, installations and decommissioning of IT equipment, as well as customisable automated reports that provide actionable information to all technical and business units within the business.
